About

A common misconception: Danny Long is a man.
She is not.

Danielle completed a BSc in marine biology in 1989. Her ambition was to shoot a documentary with Jacques Cousteau - he died.

After a brief period of mourning, Danny turned to acting. She graduated from the Victorian College of the Arts in 1994, and worked as an actor, both in theatre and on TV; eventually deciding the other side of the camera was safer.

From 2004 - 2010, Danny worked at Barrett Casting, then started her own company in February 2010.

Danny has been involved in the entertainment industry for over 20 years. She has enormous respect for actors and their creative process.  At Danny Long Casting we maintain a relaxed yet focused attitude in the audition room; believing that a combination of empathy and objectivity, enables actors to achieve their best possible performance.

We are obsessed with finding the perfect person for every role. We constantly have our eye on drama school grads, comedians, independent theatre, kids drama schools, and random people on the street. With our intuitive casting radar always on... we will literally go to the ends of the earth to fulfil a role.

We are members of the Casting Guild of Australia and are committed to diverse, inclusive casting. At Danny Long Casting we are thorough, open minded, and we never lose our sense of humour.
